BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

This project is helping to identify changes needed to achieve sustainable fisheries and will contribute to annual TAC and Quota negotiations under the Common Fisheries Policy. The project will assess the impact of changes in fishing quota and days at sea on the economic viability of the UK fishing industry as part of a Defra Impact Assessment on European legislation.
