The effect of the alternative treatments albendazol, morantel, oxfendazol, clorsulon, oxibendazol, thiabendazol and triclabendazol were compared to the effect of praziquantel and fenbendazol on tapeworm (Eubothrium sp.) in Atlantic salmon. Oxibendazol has effect, but gives the same type of adverse effect as fenbendazol; reduced appetite during and after treatment. A bioassay for measuring sensibility to praziquantel is developed and standardized. This bioassay should be verified against resistant tapeworm populations when possible
