The MAXIMUS.PT project aims to develop a study for the maternity production of juvenile turbot, in order to allow high growth rates (8 g at 80 days of cultivation from the egg) and survival rates (20% of hatching at 8 g ), allowing ACUINOVA to produce juvenile turbot, based on an ambitious R&D program that is based on knowledge in zootechnics of cultivating larvae, post-larvae and juveniles of marine fish from the ACUINOVA and CCMAR teams, nutrition of larvae and juveniles from CCMAR, and in fish microbiome studies by UA researchers.
