BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

The aim of this project is to test the technical, ecological and economic feasibility of the integrated cultivation of flat oyster, scallop and sugar seaweed. The culture of these organisms takes place in the Westdiepzone, more specifically at location WK4 near the Nieuwpoortbank.
