Drug treatment plays a crucial role in the fight against salmon lice in the Norwegian aquaculture industry. A control strategy that is dependent on drug treatment and which in recent years has been based on only two drug groups is vulnerable with regard to the development of resistance. In order to slow down the development of resistance, one is dependent on the de-lice practice in the individual plant being as optimal as possible. In addition, it is important to coordinate treatments in larger areas to prevent nearby facilities from infecting each other. There has been a need for updated knowledge about how de-lice are carried out in large cages, which practice can be recommended, and what needs exist with regard to further development of equipment and improvement of practice. By storm cage is meant first and foremost cages with a circumference of 157–160 meters." Goals: • To gather information about bathing treatment practices in the event of de-lice storm cages • To assess measures for further development of equipment • To assess the possibilities for improving existing practices
