The project will look at IMTA (Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture) in Norway's salmon aquaculture industry. The project will do with by 1) studying the release and fate of inorganic and organic nutrients from the Norwegian salmon farms, and 2) to investigating the possibility for removing these nutrients by extractive and filtering aquaculture. The project aim is to deliver fundamental knowledge regarding IMTA productivity and design under Norwegian coastal conditions as well as consider socio-economic aspects of such production, which is where Geminifish is playing a vital role
