The goal of the project is the successful substitution of live feed (Rotifers and Artemia) by artifical diets at the early stages of sea bass larvae and under the Greek rearing conditions. The substitution of live feed by compound diets will decrease the prodution costs and diminish the high risk of transferring pathogens form live feed to the fish larvae. This will be the first attempt of applying previous research results from lab scale to a commercial Greek fish hatchery.
