This project forms a broad description of the status of aquaculture for each of the Nordic countries. This description is intended to form the basis for 4-6 Nordic perspectives with recommendations to the political government on how to develop an aquaculture industry which obtains: (1) green development, (2) industry development and (3) common synergies and (4) use of comparative benefits. A SWOT analysis is developed for each country/region as basis for the perspectives. The report is presented to the Nordic Ministers of fisheries affairs at the Nordic Ministers annual meeting in Trondheim 2012.
