Algae, shells and crustations cause biofilm accumulation on fish farming construktions and nets. These allow larger organisms such as larger shells and anemones to grow. To combat this chemicals and high pressure hosing is used. Norwegian Ocean Cleaning Systems has developed a solution that does not require chemicals and significantly reduses the amount of mechanical cleaning. The technology does not affect the environment and can be used for other applications such as land based fish farms, metallurgy, shipping and oil & gas.
