The project aims to be able to develop a technology concept and operating procedures for what is a standard production unit (circumference 160 m). Sea development has patented a device with the following main components: two semicircular steel frames clad with tarpaulin, floating element with walkway and cam winches. The steel frames must be threaded around the salmon cage and assembled during processing, and therefore involve a very demanding maritime operation. A main challenge with the current solution d is the use of tarpaulin, is that electricity makes it difficult to control the volume. With the new concept, you will have expansion that allows you to have better control over volume. The solid shape of the device will prevent deformation of the salmon cage because it is shielded from current and wind conditions and ensure that the amount of water for the de-lice is constant. You avoid extra handling of the fish that causes stress, such as penetrating into cages and pumping to the well boat.
