The bioeconomy sector encompasses areas using biological resources (agriculture, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture) and processes that contribute to producing food, bio-based products, energy and services. The EU-funded CroBio2020 project aims to help Croatia complete its transition towards a sustainable circular bioeconomy. With a great potential thanks to its abundant land and marine natural resources, the country has already started working in this direction with the development of its national bioeconomy strategy and action plan. It is expected that the project will help boost Croatia’s national and international engagement towards a sustainable circular bioeconomy.
