BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

Creation of an environmental observatory on the impact of the solid waste generated by aquaculture activities, fishing and port on the marine environment. In addition, this study will provide information and advice on new techniques for the use of wood and resins in the maritime construction, with particular emphasis on innovation and minimisation of the environmental impact in its use. (1) Identification of existing technical systems to evaluate on board; (2) Definition of characteristics of the different fisheries; (3) Development of Subproducts Handling Protocol; (4) Study on economic feasibility.
