Catch-based aquaculture is a link between traditional catch/processing and aquaculture, for live intermediate storage and feeding for growth. Research environments and expertise are also largely divided into aquaculture and the capture industry, both in terms of organization and activity. Thus, catch-based aquaculture needs experience and academic expertise from both sectors of the aquaculture and fisheries industries. Dissemination and sharing of expertise is absolutely essential for the development of the concept of catch-based aquaculture. Main objective: To create a new and updated version of ""Capture-based cod aquaculture - a handbook"". Sub-goals: • To make the handbook user-friendly and web-based under Nofima's websites, where you can also click on relevant texts, presentations and films. • To include the whitefish species cod, haddock and flounder in the handbook.
