The available database comprises research projects in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Seafood Processing and Marine Biotechnology active in the time period 2003-2022.
BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

The principal objectives of the project are to characterise the HSMI virus at the molecular level, and to investigate the possibility of preventing HSMI by vaccination. As part of this, the infection in the host will also be studied at the cellular and molecular level. Sub-goals: (1) Clone and sequence proteins expressed by the HSMI virus; (2) Investigate different expression systems for the cloned HSMI virus proteins; (3) Establish improved virus cultivation methods and a reliable challenge model; (4) Characterise the development of disease and immune responses to experimental infection; (5) Study the efficacy of experimental vaccine preparations.
