Aquaculture, like many other human activities, produces solid waste and effluents that, if not treated correctly, can negatively affect the environment. In order to comply with the legislated emission limits and to practice environmental management that minimizes changes in the environment in which we operate, the main objective of this project is to develop, in an intensive regime system with recirculation of water from turbot and sole, a system for treating effluents (liquid and solid) through the cultivation of halophytes, microalgae and polychaetes; As a secondary objective, the project presents the commercialization of these species and the possible use of polychaetes to feed sole. The aim is to test the implementation of an innovative fish farming effluent treatment technology in real conditions of productive activity that could make production systems more ecologically and financially sustainable.
