Project Outline: 1. Market study to define global opportunities for marine ingredients, products specifications, competitor analysis and key enablers and trends. 2. Raw material assessment to shortlist most viable potential species for Ireland Inc. and industry (catching, processor, aquaculture) analysis to determine size of opportunity. 3. Prepare three case studies for three volume opportunities based on volumes available versus market fit. 4. Finalise report and present key findings to stakeholder groups. Project Objectives: • Identify the top two marine ingredients opportunities for the Irish seafood sector. • Develop two case studies for the two most viable volume opportunities and explore the business case in terms of size of Biomass availability, yield, underlying costs and market opportunities for Irish-origin marine ingredients.
