For the time being, the internal organs of fish species produced in aquaculture in Finland and Europe have mainly been disposed of as tailings or used to produce only minor value added. The aim of the Maksaa Vaivan project is to promote the utilisation of the liver page streams of fish farming, to increase the value of Finnish fish farming and to innovate a new healthy food culture.
