"Havfront AS wants to be able to offer the market a machine specifically aimed at gutting farmed cod with whole gills, high yield and high speed. This implies: • further development and improvement of a previous project for the automation of gutting and cutting for the land industry: ""Gentle popping and cutting machine for whitefish for land plants"" ( FHF-901403 ) • improved results and functions to adapt to more whitefish markets, such as farmed cod • improve the neck cut for a higher yield on farmed cod • use machine learning for more possibilities, and flexible looping programs • increased speed for increased efficiency • increase the amount of whole liver, as farmed cod has large amounts of liver Main objective: To develop future solutions in today's machine to optimize the user interface for land plants that gut farmed cod. Sub-goals:. • To make an accurate abdominal incision from the anus to the pectoral fin using machine learning. • To minimize damage to the liver so that the customer can deliver it to the fresh market. • To further develop the machine to increase the speed from today's 20–23 fish per minute to 27–30 fish per minute, for fish under 5 kg."
