BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

This project was initiated by fishers' organizations to prepare strategies for adapting their fishing methods to the developing reform of the Common Fisheries Policy, more specifically the obligation to land that will be included in it. (1) Describe and quantify discards in the French fisheries that generate the most discards; (2) Understand their causes; (3) Develop the knowledge base to put up approaches to reduce discards and comply with the landing obligation.
