The research aims is to construct a technically appropriate trawl entirely made from T90netting, to ensure optimal protection for juvenile and undersized cod, during whole fishing process and to decrease the cost of fishing. Using T90 netting for trawl, leads to increase protection of undersized fish which can escape easily from the belly and the codend through wide open T90 meshes and this way substantial decrease by-catch and discards in commercial fisheries. Goals: (1) preparing proper project of total T90 trawl gear; (2) decreasing impact of the bottom trawl gear onto sea environment; (3) decreasing gear drag (T90) and fuel consumption; (4) introducing higher selective and protective trawl gear (T90) into the active fishery.
