Population dynamics, age, growth and reproductive biology of dab will be studied in Irish coastal waters. Emphasis will be on providing information to the fishing industry on a population for which there is no scientific/biological information and hence no explicit stock management objectives or plans. The work will focus on compiling biological data and undertaking tagging experiments in order to adequately assess the stock.
