Determination of the abundance of the recruiting year class (age 0) of spring spawning herring in the western Baltic Sea. The abundance of 30mm larvae is determined in the main spawning area in the Greifswalder Bodden and used as a recruitment index for the incoming year class. The index is used in the assessment and forecast of the spring spawning herring. Working group: PGHERS-Meeting Research cruises: annually 1 Cruise FRC "Clupea".
