Goals of this study: Development of a conservation plan for harbour porpoise (Phocoena phocoena) in the North Sea, as well as, the conservation plan for harbour porpoise of the Baltic Sea in 2001. The aims of this project is to develop a conservation plan in the international framework of ASCOBANS (Agreement on the Conservation of Small Cetaceans of the Baltic and North Seas). Then, this plan should be obligatory for all contractual partners. Participating institutions: Research- and Technology Centre Westcoast (FTZ) of the University of Kiel, Germany.
