As in recent years more and more emphasis has been placed on emission and energy reductions in the Norwegian fishing fleet, a number of projects aimed at reducing consumption and emissions have been implemented. A fund with financial support schemes, the NOx Fund, has also been established, the purpose of which is to stimulate the reduction of NOx emissions from combustion processes. Which measures provide the greatest reduction in energy / greenhouse gases or both are of great importance both when the shipping companies are to apply to the NOX Fund for investment support and when energy and environmental measures are taken on their own vessels. However, the shipping companies demand an independent assessment of the various measures. In this project, one therefore wants to summarize the recent years' innovations and experiences within energy saving and emission reduction for the entire Norwegian fishing fleet. The result will be an impartial supervisor and a tool from FHF. To communicate with the target groups, one will use tools such as collections, newsletters, reports, leaflets and websites. To contribute to a lower energy consumption and emission level for the entire Norwegian fishing fleet by providing a basis for initiating emission and energy reduction measures in vessels and making energy data and analyzes available for further R&D activities and information dissemination.
