BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

Based on recommendations given in the “Catch control in spinners: Preliminary project” (2012-2013), this main project deals with the topics of catch limitation, species selection cod / haddock / flounder, as well as adaptation of the selection device for the smaller spinner fleet. The project has been mainly carried out at the Institute of Marine Research with a complementary R&D contribution from SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture, Hirtshals department.
