The aim of the project is to go through an exploration and trial fishery for king snails in Sør-Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal to clarify whether there is a basis for commercial fishing in the area. Furthermore, the goal is to obtain data for HI as a basis for preparing harvesting strategies and regulations for king snails. The usefulness for the industry will be the opportunity for commercial fishing for king snails in Sør-Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal. This could provide activity for the coastal fleet for larger parts of the year, as well as give the onshore facilities a larger raw material base as a basis for year-round and profitable operation.
