Summary This pilot project is dominated by preparatory processes for a main project where a number of R & D themes will be pursued linked to a new building that will prepare the ground for moving international fisheries technology, with emphasis on the pelagic sector, a new piece in the future. This will be done in collaboration with the best R&D units and suppliers in the area to meet tomorrow's requirements for sustainable and cost-effective solutions. Det Norske Veritas (DNV), which is a key player in classification, risk analysis and development work, is a key partner in this preparatory project, but will also be a partner in the main project. The following topics must be investigated with regard to whether they should be included in the main project and with which strategy, including partner selection: new propulsion systems (eg gas engine); energy efficiency and environmentally friendly solutions in all relevant fields; unloading and other logistics with new solutions and methods; stabilization technology, new concepts and solutions; facilitating classification as a cargo / fishing vessel; updated communication, for example connection of satcom, broadband, mobile; research facilities connected to marine resources and the marine environment, etc.
