The project aimed to identification of environmental, alieutic and commercial limits of the fishery of giant red shrimp (Aristeomorpha foliacea), blue-and-red shrimp (Aristaeus antennatus) deep water red shrimp (Parapaeneus longirostris), operated by the deep sea fishing vessels of Mazara del Vallo on the Strait of Sicily. Goal: Realization of guidelines aimed to mitigate the impacts of the shrimp trawl fishery on by-catch and non-target species and valorisation of the fishery products.
