The assessment of commercial used fish stocks is based on international accepted models and is carried out by different ICES working groups. The different developments of the stocks (e.g. necessity of recovery plans, etc.) and the different main factors which drive the development make it necessary to adapt the existing models or to develop new ones. These tasks include the methodical developments of acoustic and trawl surveys. Working groups: SGABC, WGMG, EU-BSRP/Flunder.
