To evaluate the efficacy of newly introduced technical measures (Shrimp Fishing Nets Order 2002). To continue to review and analyse discard data, by further building upon, and developing the analytical tools and to maintain a watching brief on global developments in the field of environmentally friendly fishing methods. Further objectives include: (1) To evaluate the efficacy of newly introduced mandatory technical measures in the Crangon fishery; (2) to further analyse the discard database, providing tools which will enable identification of discarding hotspots.
