BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

Providing the area of Trapani and Agrigento provinces with ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) for better cooperation among fisheries-related enterprises, research centres and local authorities. Actions: (1) Technology transfer services to SMEs in the fishing industry; (2) Technology transfer services for research centres and SMEs in the field of marine-applied electronics, bioengineering ; (3) Support to marine economy-related business demand through pre-competitive industrial research; (4) Development of skills for innovation in the field of marine sciences; (5) Development of an integrated web portal for local businesses and a virtual environment for the user community; (6) Up-grading of research infrastructure for enhancing local governance instruments.
