BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

Observations of high discard rates from Swedish observer programmes indicates that current gear regulations (Bacoma or T90) are not appropriate to minimise discards of juvenile cod. Therefore this project aims to find novel/alternative gear designs to reduce cod discards.
