The aim of the project is to provide knowledge that will contribute to the further development of salmon fishing as an industry in the Trondheim Fjord region, based on the landowners' large investment in training wedge seine fishing in the fjord. Through collaboration between R&D environments, landowners' organizations and tourism-related businesses locally, knowledge will be generated that both contributes to strengthening the effects of the care scheme, while at the same time providing new knowledge about markets and market segments, products and services related to salmon fishing tourism. The project will also investigate market opportunities and interest in investing in tourism among landowners and settlers in the fjord, and in the opportunities for cooperation between river and fjord within tourism in the region. Field-based tourism is most often based on a collaboration between many small and different business actors. This represents a significant bottleneck. ErT represents a completely new way of working in Norwegian salmon management, and is an example of private actors increasingly acting and taking responsibility, but in collaboration with various public actors - what is often called "governance". One sub-goal for this project is to look more closely at the type of collaboration that ErT represents. What advice can be given to further strengthen the collaboration? How can better collaboration increase value creation? Is ErT's working model also of interest to other regions?
