In the period 2002–2005, FHF has had a package of measures on HSE consisting of a number of projects that have focused in particular on risk mapping, analyzes of statistics-based facts regarding injuries and fatal accidents, development of tools for use in risk mapping and training and other preventive measures. In the follow-up of the package of measures on HSE, it is desirable to focus on the fishing profession with special emphasis on the physical and mental working environment, conditions for the profession and organization of the work on board. In this project, we want to investigate what are decisive factors for prioritizing HSE work so that preventive measures are implemented. Goal to improve health, environment and safety (HSE) for employees in the fishing fleet by laying the foundation for a strategy for appropriate and profitable implementation of HSE measures in the fishing fleet (phase 1).
