Stock dynamics of flounder in the Baltic (stocks in sub-divisions 24-25 and 26) was evaluated. Age-structured and/or difference models were applied. In some attempts fishing mortality was modelled as random walk. Parameters of rational exploitation were estimated (Fmsy and proxies for Fmsy). Analytical equilibrium curves for catch and biomass were developed and used for estimation of MSY parameters. Flounder was re-aged (10 years commercial and survey data) using new method (thin section method). That method showed better consistency of data (age structure in commercial and survey catches) than the previous age determination. To evaluate and quantify environmental and human effects on flounder in the Baltic. To assess the state of stocks To estimate biological reference points including MSY points.
