BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

This project, in part continuation of the first LIFE project in the same area, will make improvements to the existing rescue centre and create a new one on the Sicilian coast. Fishing gear, modified to reduce by−catches of the loggerhead turtle, will be tested at sea.
