BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

The purpose of this study was the gathering of data of lead, cadmium and mercury in the species of fish, crustaceans and molluscs produced and consumed in Spain, to send them to the European Commission's Group of Experts on contaminants in order to contribute to the revision of Regulation No. 466/2002. The data of lead, cadmium and mercury from this study corresponding to the analysis of fresh or frozen products of commercial species from different fishing grounds and stock.
