The project was a continuation of previous R&D activities with the aim of developing an efficient pot for catching cod. Fishing and behavioral experiments were performed with two-chamber pots that were bottomed and whistled at two different distances from the bottom (35 cm and 95 cm). Behavioral experiments were also performed with two variants of lofotteina (with closed and open lower chambers, respectively). Survival and vitality of cod caught with pots were examined by keeping fish in a tank. Goal: to further develop tine technology for coastal fishing through studies of fishing behavior and gear parameters.
