PhD project based on analysis of fishery data collected for Mackerel and cod, including ICES triennial egg survey data. Linked distribution of mackerel spawing to temperature increases, identified patterns in the distribution of catch, identified weak spatial structure in cod survey data and compared recruitment of pelagic species to a range of potential climate-based predictor variables. To analyse the available data on cod, mackerel and associated species for links to climate change and factors shaping the large scale distribution and abundance of stocks.
