The aim of the planned study was to evaluate the feed composition and abundance of cormorants Phalacrocorax carbo in the Gulf of Gdansk and Bay of Pomerania regions. With regard to the pellets from Świnoujścia, the aim was also to find remains of consumed round gobies Neogobius melanostomus, which would provide confirmation of their presence in the Bay of Pomerania region as well as permitting tracing the development of a trophic link between cormorants and this fish species, which is new to this ecosystem.
