"This project focuses primarily on developing a trawl that is at least 25% easier to rope than today's shrimp trawlers, while maintaining the catch efficiency of shrimp. The secondary goal is that the trawl technology developed in the project will reduce bycatch and a possible impact on the benthic fauna on shrimp fields."
