"The research activity initially lasting 1 year and subsequently extended until 31 December 2008, was divided into 4 phases: 1) the information useful to define the status was collected of the art of clam seed pre-fattening systems currently available e necessary to identify the most suitable systems for the peculiarities of the Venice lagoon. 2) ISPRA has identified the areas most suitable for conducting pre-fattening activities and has defined the experimental protocols for seed management according to the different pre-fattening systems. 3) the Third Phase provided for the launch and execution of the trials: in this phase ISPRA has played a role of supervision and evaluation of the activities carried out; 4) data processing was carried out and the evaluation of the activities carried out."
