The project is part of the large-scale strategy pursued by the Emilia Region Romagna to deal with specific territorial emergencies with a view to qualifying and improving the Sacca area, carried out in recent years also through the use of Framework Program Agreements on Water Protection and Integrated Management of Water Resources. The main factors of degradation and imbalance of the Sacca di Goro have been identified, in particular on the dystrophic effects resulting from eutrophic processes, the integration in the identification of anthropic activities with direct and / or indirect negative effects on the lagoon ecosystem and impacts and pressures exerted in Sacca di Goro as a result of anthropic interventions. For the analysis of the environmental context, considering the activities that affect the Sacca (reclamation activities, agricultural activities, fishing and shellfish farming, anthropogenic activities of morphological and hydraulic reorganization of the Sacca, anthropogenic land management activities), was used the DPSIR approach (Determinants, Pressures, State, Impacts, Responses). Possible responses were then addressed, to be implemented through appropriate mitigation and compensation actions capable of safeguarding existing resources and recovering lost characteristics. Goals: (1) Examination of the critical issues that persist directly and indirectly on the Sacca di Goro and on the surrounding area; (2) the possible responses in relation to the identified criticalities; (3) the identification of multifunctional interventions capable of responding to the many criticalities encountered (floodable areas, riverbed interventions, buffer strips); (4) the definition of the criteria for identifying areas in which it is possible to implement one or more mitigation / compensation measures; (5) the description of the planning and constraint context within which the identified areas are inserted; (6) specific cards for each individual area identified including the constraints insistent on the area.
