BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

The aim of the project is to implement and test a traceability system based on the EAN.UCC standard in three fish delivery chains: one for cultivated trout and two marine chains for sprats and herring. The results of implementing this system along with insight gained will be disseminated during training sessions for fishers, farmers, and processors. The results will also be published.
