The aim of the project is to identify and describe the need for research and development within the whole live seafood value chain, from fishermen to market. The information will be gathered through interviews with important actors (fishermen, producers, exporters and fisheries organizations), as well as through cataloguing published information to identify knowledge gaps. (1) Interviewing current or potential companies working with live seafood in order to identify current needs for research for the further development of their industry; (2) Collect and catalogue published data on critical areas in 'live export chain' to identify knowledge gaps; (3) Arrange workshop on live seafood; (4) Present a short report that will summarise this information and prioritize future research needs.
