HSE in the fish industry has been a user-oriented project with a focus on designing optimal HSE improvement processes for the fish processing industry. In collaboration with experimental companies, we have designed, implemented and evaluated processes with special focus on instruments that provide positive effects in relation to reduction of sick leave. The main goal for the project has been to develop and test tools to strengthen the industry's work with health, environment and safety (HSE). This is done with the goal that the companies themselves can implement processes with real improvements in important HSE areas. We have also had the goal of document specific HSE measures that have been implemented in two pilot companies. The lesson from the work of these companies is included as a basis in the development of this tool. The idea has been that solutions in HSE work can benefit the entire industry.
