"Trawling is characterized by very strict efficiency requirements to achieve profitability. This means that the employees are exposed to high work pressure at times, with many physically demanding work tasks. The industry has undergone significant structuring in the last decade and profitability has increased for the crew. Nevertheless, the trawler companies are still experiencing a significant throughput of labor, and there is a very high proportion of young men among the employees as a result of the nature of the operation and the vessels. In the project, the main goal is for the vessel's various work tasks to be automated, and for all heavy lifting to be eliminated. The goal is a workplace with a ""life cycle standard"", ie it should be possible to work on a trawler throughout life, for both sexes. At the same time, the pilot project will deliver new standards for efficiency and the environment. To carry out a study of activities, deliveries and decision basis for developing a safe, automated, efficient and hygienic raw material logistics on new freezer trawlers with proposals for a main project on the development of prototypes.
