Through work in a project group consisting of representatives from the autoline fleet, equipment suppliers and R&D, a mapped and documented need and requirements for new technology for head cutting and gutting tusk and ling on board autoline vessels. The background for this work is, among other things, challenges related to the mechanical handling of these fish species. Through the project, requirements have been established within the themes of HSE, hygiene, profitability, product quality and technical solution and material choices. A user-driven project application has been submitted to NFR's Food Program on 2 September 2009 for financing the R&D work in phase 2.
