The effect of season and depth of growing on the polysaccharide composition of the algae will be determined. The optimal methods for obtaining high quality polysaccharides from the natural algal mixture of F. lumbricalis and C. truncatus will be elucidated. The influence of C. truncatus in the algal mixture on the commercial quality of the polysaccharide material will be determined.
