The aim of this project is to analyze red seaweed galactan anticancer activity. For initial analysis small variety of colon and cervical cancer cell lines will be used. The hypothesis is that different seaweed galactans studied in Tallinn University (including a variety of very pure carrageenans and agarans) have substantial effect on the vitality of cancel cells.
